Las Vegas is the land of expensive casinos, where money can be earned and burned in a matter of minutes. But the beauty of the city is that it offers plenty of options for a cheap vacation also. The Strip is the heart of the city of Las Vegas. Staying in the Strip can be costly. But if you are ready to move out of the Strip to downtown area, you can enjoy a comfortable stay in a reasonably cheap hotel room. Also, there are a lot of free shows, music concerts, and other tourist attractions in Las Vegas. So, despite the aura of money power over the city, a person can very well enjoy a budget tour in Las Vegas.

If you plan to stay in Las Vegas for more than one or two days, it is advisable to stay in the downtown area. That will reduce the cost of accommodation considerably. Also, for commuting between the hotel and the Strip, it is ideal to take a monorail pass. There are a number of attractions in Las Vegas that are free. One of the must see items in Las Vegas is the Fremont Street Experience (FSE). There is a daily light show at the Fremont Street called barrel vault canopy or viva canopy, which is the top draw of the FSE. The light show rises to a maximum height of 90 feet and covers a length of 1500 feet. It is a magnificent show and it is free. There are other free light shows such as Masquerade Show in the Sky. The fountain in Gellagion Hotel is another free attraction that enlivens the stay in the city.

In Fremont Street, there are two stages that host music concerts of high quality. Most of such concerts are free. Other free attractions in the town include The Aquarium at The Silverton and the Bonnie and Clyde Getaway Car. Another unique place to visit in Las Vegas is a chocolate factory near the city, called Ethel M Chocolate Factory. One can taste the free samples available there and more importantly can watch and understand the chocolate manufacturing process. Penske Wynn Ferrari Maserati is a museum in Las Vegas in which the history and evolution of the Italian car manufacturing company Ferrari is shown using pictures and other resources. Another top tourism location in the city is an exact replica of Eiffel Tower. Although the admission to the tower is not free, it provides a million dollar aerial view of the city.
